Patrol Division![]() The Dobbs Ferry Patrol Division is comprised of one Lieutenant, six Sergeants and thirteen Police Officers. These members are assigned to either a steady midnight shift or a rotating day and evening shift patrolling a two and a half square mile area divided into two patrol sectors. Officers are provided with Automated External Defibrillator’s (AED’s) while on patrol. Each Officer is equipped with a lap-top computer which allows Officers quick access to wanted persons and vehicle registration files. These GPS equipped computers also enable Officers to complete all types of reports directly from the vehicle and upload these reports to the station-house. Recently the Department was awarded a grant to purchase in-car video cameras for all marked patrol units. This equipment represents the latest and best in technology available for law enforcement today. These technologies combined with an active annual in-service training program reflects the Dobbs Ferry Police Department’s commitment to progressive law enforcement and dedication to officer safety.
